SUNDAY: KUSADASI, TURKEY
At 08:00 our cruise-ship docks at Kusadasi in Turkey, starting point for our shore-excursion to the ancient city of Ephesus, where the Apostle Paul preached and lived for three years (Acts 18:19-21). Visit the Odeon, the magnificent Library of Celsus, the Agora, as well as the Great Theatre, built in the 4th century BC., famous even nowadays for its acoustics. At 19:00 sail back to Rhodes, Greece. All meals and overnight on board.
MONDAY: RHODES, GREECE
At 08:00 our cruise-ship docks in Rhodes. You will enjoy the organized morning excursion to Lindos, situated 55 km (40 miles) from the town of Rhodes, where we visit the ruins of the Acropolis of Lindos with the ancient Temple of Athena, built in 300 BC. In the center of the village you will find the Church of the Virgin Mary (Panagia) of Lindos, with frescoes from the 15th century. In the medieval walled town of Rhodes you will walk through D’Amboise Gate to the Street of the Knights. Along this street you will find the residences of the Knights, separated according to Order, which bear until today their corresponding crests. Lunch on board. Sail to Heraklion, Crete at 18:00. Dinner & overnight on board ship.
TUESDAY: HERAKLION CRETE
At 08:00 arrive in Heraklion, Crete. Capital of the island, a former Venetian harbor with fascinating architecture. We have our guided visit to the archaeological site of Knossos, the first European civilization. Learn about the legends of Daedalus, Theseus and the Minotaur as you walk from room to room in the Palace. Step through the remarkable Hall of the Royal Guard and the King’s Chamber breathing in the legendary stories of King Minos. Sail at 23:59 to Santorini. All meals and overnight on board.
WEDNESDAY: SANTORINI, GREECE
At 07:00 arrive in Santorini (disembarkation by tender-boats, sea & weather permitting). We participate in the organized shore-excursion to Oia, where we stroll through the marble-paved alleys, we see the famous blue domed churches and gaze at the cute little boutiques and take breathtaking pictures. We become acquainted with the characteristic buildings, carved into the rocks. At 02:30 depart to Milos island. All meals and overnight on board.
THURSDAY: MILOS, GREECE
Arrive at 08:30 at Milos. This island is a geological marvel and home to the biggest selection of diverse and beautiful beaches in Cyclades, some of them formed by ancient volcanoes. Enjoy the unique landscape of Sarakiniko beach, the town of Plaka, the harbor of Adamas and take a tour at the mining museum or visit the Church of Panagia Thalassitra. At 13:30 sail to Mykonos island.
THURSDAY: MYKONOS, GREECE
At 19:00 we dock in Mykonos and enjoy our morning walking tour, exploring the pebbled streets of cosmopolitan Chora and “Little Venice”. As we spend the night here, there will be ample time to discover the pretty alleyways of Mykonos town and the gorgeous beaches, or ancient Delos. All meals and overnight on board.
FRIDAY: MYKONOS, GREECE
Enjoy your day exploring Mykonos. At 18:00 sail back to Piraeus ( Athens) .All meals and overnight on board .
SATURDAY: PIRAEUS (ATHENS), GREECE
At 09:00 arrive at the port of Piraeus. Disembarkation after breakfast.
