SUNDAY: ISTANBUL, TURKEY
At 15:30 arrive in Istanbul. Enjoy Istanbul, the only city in the world situated on two continents: Europe and Asia. Byzantium, Constantinople, Istanbul, its three names span more than 2600 years, nearly 1600 of them as the capital of two of the greatest empires the world has known, Byzantine and Ottoman. We enjoy a Bosphorus cruise from Europe to Asia, passing by the palaces of Dolmabahce and Ciragan. During this tour, you will have the opportunity to do some shopping such as carpets, jewelry, leather wear and accessories and other souvenirs at the Grand covered Bazaar. MONDAY: ISTANBUL, TURKEY
At 20:00 sail to Canakkale. All meals & overnight on board ship.
TUESDAY: CANAKKALE, TURKEY
At 07:00 we dock at Canakkale in Turkey. The town of Canakkale, located between the Aegean Sea and the Sea of Marmara, is a seaport that is of great importance to Turkey. Two things that make Canakkale historically relevant are its early civilization (3000 BC to 400 AD) and the two most remarkable battles in history – the mythical Trojan War and the Battle of Canakkale during World War I. Because of its colorful past, a visit to the museums, monuments and ancient cities are a must. Sail at 17:00 to Volos, Greece. All meals & overnight on board ship.
WEDNESDAY: VOLOS, GREECE
At 07:00 arrive in Volos, Greece. Optional guided visit to Meteora which is a rock formation in central Greece hosting one of the largest and most precipitously built complexes of Byzantine Greek Orthodox monasteries. Sail to Heraklion, Crete at 17:00. All meals & overnight on board ship.
THURSDAY: HERAKLION CRETE
At 13:00 arrive at Heraklion Crete (Acts 27:7-13) and enjoy our guided excursion to the Minoan Palace of Knossos, first European civilization and home of the legendary Minotaur (half bull and half man). Then sail to Santorini at 23:59. All meals & overnight on board ship.
FRIDAY: SANTORINI – MYKONOS, GREECE
At 07:00 we arrive in Santorini. Optional shore-excursion to visit the beautiful and picturesque village of Oia where one can see the famous blue domed churches, or take the cable-car up to the town of Fira, perched high on the rim of the ancient volcano. Free time for taking photos, browsing, shopping and enjoying the breathtaking view of the caldera. Sail at 13:00 for Mykonos. Arrive at 19:00 in Mykonos. Enjoy your evening walking tour and exploring the pebbled streets of cosmopolitan Chora and have a coffee in “Little Venice. All meals & overnight on board ship.
SATURDAY: MYKONOS – PIRAEUS (ATHENS), GREECE
At 02:00 sail from Mykonos to Piraeus. At 09:00 arrive at the port of Piraeus. Disembarkation after breakfast on board.
