SATURDAY: PIRAEUS (ATHENS), GREECE
Embark on the 7-day cruise at the port of Piraeus (13km/8 miles from Athens) and sail to Alexandria, Egypt at 21:00. Dinner & overnight on board ship.
MONDAY: ALEXANDRIA – CAIRO – PORT SAID, EGYPT
At 07:00 we arrive in Alexandria. This was the Mediterranean’s dazzling jewel of a city, home to the Great Library of Alexandria and the colossal Pharos Lighthouse – one of the seven wonders of the ancient world. We have a full day excursion to Cairo to visit the Pyramids & the Sphinx, lunch, then visit the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities, have a papyrus demonstration, free time for shopping and then transfer to the port of Port Said in the evening. Participants of this excursion will re-embark the cruise-ship.
Non participation of the above mentioned shore-excursion will result in bypassing Egypt as a port of call due to the cruise-ship repositioning between Alexandria and Port Said.
At 09:00 the cruise-ship sails to Port Said, which was established in 1859 during the building of the Suez Canal. There are numerous old houses with grand balconies on all floors, giving the city a distinctive look that extends both on the African and the Asian sides of the Suez Canal. The only other metropolitan area in the world that also spans two continents is Istanbul. Port Said acted as a cosmopolitan city since its establishment and flourished particularly during the nineteenth and the first half of the twentieth century when it was inhabited by various nationalities and religions. Most of them were from Mediterranean countries, and they coexisted in peace and tolerance. Sail at 22:00 to Ashdod, Israel. All meals & overnight on board.
TUESDAY: ASHDOD, ISRAEL
At 08:00 arrive in Ashdod, Israel. Ashdod is an important regional industrial center. Ashdod is Israel’s largest port and is southern Israel’s only outlet to the Mediterranean. The artificial port, enclosed by breakwaters, accounts for 60 percent of the country’s imported goods, while much of the country’s citrus crop is exported through it. Optional full day tour to Jerusalem & Bethlehem. Then return back to Ashdod and sail at 22:00 to Limassol, Cyprus. All meals & overnight on board.
WEDNESDAY: LIMASSOL, CYPRUS
At 11:00 arrive in Limassol. Limassol is considered to be a new town and is located on the most southern part of Cyprus, built amphitheatrically over the Akrotiri Bay, between the two ancient cities of Amathus to the east and Curium to the west. Optional shore-excursion to Paphos. Sail at 18:00 for Rhodes, Greece. All meals & overnight on board ship.
THURSDAY: RHODES, GREECE
At 12:00 noon call at Rhodes. You will enjoy an organized guided excursion to Lindos, situated 55 km (40 miles) from the town of Rhodes , where you visit the ruins of the Acropolis of Lindos, with the ancient Temple of Athena, built in 300 BC. In the center of the village you will find the Church of the Virgin Mary (Panagia) of Lindos, with frescoes from the 15th century. In the medieval walled city of Rhodes you will go through D’Amboise Gate to walk on the Street of the Knights. Along this street you will find the residences of the Knights, separated according to Order, which bear until today their corresponding crests. At 20:00 sail to Kusadasi, Turkey. All meals & overnight on board ship.
FRIDAY: KUSADASI, TURKEY
At 07:00 our cruise-ship docks at Kusadasi in Turkey, starting point for our guided tour to the ancient city of Ephesus, where the Apostle Paul preached and lived for three years (Acts 18:19-21). Visit the Odeon, the magnificent Library of Celsus, as well as the Great Theatre, built in the 4th century BC, famous even nowadays for its acoustics. At 19:30 sail back to Piraeus, Greece. All meals & overnight on board ship.

At 9:00 arrive at the port of Piraeus. Disembarkation after breakfast on board ship.
